丘珠空港は正式名称を「札幌飛行場」といい、もともとは陸上
自衛隊の専用飛行場だったところを1961年より公共用飛行場
として民間機の乗り入れが開始されたという軍民共用の空港で、
函館・釧路・利尻といった道内各都市への定期便の発着のほか、
札幌観光の遊覧飛行、ビジネスジェット、北海道警察・消防の
防災ヘリの基地、測量、報道用としても使用されており、札幌の
空の玄関口として、重要な役割を担っています。

今年からはFDA（フジドリームエアラインズ）が静岡空港との間で
運行を開始しました。

空港ターミナルビルは非常に小ぢんまりとしており、
1階は 航空会社カウンターと到着ロビー、
2階は出発ロビーにおみやげ屋、レストラン等。
3階には送迎デッキがあり、飛行機の離発着を
間近で見ることが出来ます。

おみやげ屋さんには最近就航したFDAのグッズコーナーを始め
航空関連のグッズが結構置いてあり、航空ファンにはオススメです。

その他、北海道の定番みやげはもとより、東区のイメージキャラ
「たっぴー」の関連商品や丘珠空港オリジナルの商品など、レアな
おみやげが目白押しです。

唯一のレストランである「丘珠キッチン」は、まあレストランというか
「食堂！」といった感じの狭いスペースなんですが、店内の窓が
滑走路に面しており離発着する飛行機を眺めつつ食事できるという、
結構ステキなロケーションだったりします。

3Fからは送迎デッキへと出ることができます。
空港全体に言えることなんですが全体的に小規模というか、ぶっちゃけ
狭いため、千歳やその他空港に比較して「滑走路までが異様に近い」
というのも面白い特色ですね。

出発ゲートを出て、飛行機までは徒歩。
到着した便から到着ゲートまでも当然徒歩。
いくつもゲートを潜り、専用通路を通って直接飛行機に乗り込む
他空港とは大違いですが、これも丘珠空港の味わいといえば
味わいかもしれません。

運行数が極端に少ないため全体的に航空機の数は少ない
のですが、ジェット機に混じってセスナやプロペラ機・ヘリ等
珍しい航空機の離発着も見ることが出来、結構飽きずに
眺めていられます。

丘珠空港は札幌市東区にあり、札幌中心部から直線距離で
6kmと千歳に比べて圧倒的に近く、東豊線栄町駅からバスで
大体5分程度。地下鉄南北線麻生駅からだと大体15分ほど。
（どちらも中央バス「麻26」乗車）
札幌駅（ターミナル）からも丘珠空港行きのバスが運行しており、
大体25~30分程度で行くことが可能です。

思いのほか簡単に行けますので、休日にボーっと飛行機を
眺めに行ったりなど、気軽に利用してみては如何でしょうか。

Official name of the Okadama Airport is “Sapporo airfield”.
though it was originally an Airfield of the Ground Self-Defense Force,
it has been started to use as a public airfield from 1961.

Okadama Airport is used to regular flights to each city(Hakodate, Kushiro, Rishiri,etc… ) in Hokkaido.
further, it is used for Pleasure flight in sapporo, business jet, disaster prevention helicopter of the police and fire departments, and the broadcast.

Okadama Airport plays a important role as the air gateway of Sapporo.

Airport terminal building is very small.
The first floor is airline counter and the arrival lobby,
The second floor departure lobby and souvenir shops, and restaurant etc…
The third floor there is a outlook deck, can see up close the takeoff and landing of the airplane.

in the souvenir shop, there is the goods of FDA(Fuji dream airline) and aviation-related goods a lot, this place is recommended for aviation fans.

the other, Hokkaido classic souvenirs,
products of “Tappi” that is image character of Higashi-ku sapporo,
and Okadama Airport original products, etc etc,
Rare souvenir is jostling.

“Okadama Kitchen” is the only restaurant in the airport.
narrow, but can be meal while watching take-off and landing of airplane from the window in the store facing the runway.

Walk the runway from the starting gate until the airplane.
Of course, upon arrival, walk the runway from arrival airplane until the arrival gate.

Quite different from the other airport that ride on direct to the airplane through a dedicated passage, but this might also taste of Okadama Airport

Okadama Airport is located in Sapporo Higashi-ku.
Straight-line distance is 6km from the central Sapporo,
It is near overwhelming compared to the Chitose Airport.

Roughly about a 5-minute bus ride from Subway Toho line Sakaemachi Station.
and from Subway Nanboku line Asabu Station about 15 minutes.
(Both ride the Chuo Bus “Asa 26”)

and roughly about 25 to 30 minutes from Sapporo Station (Terminal) by Bus.
