スウェーデンヒルズとは、石狩郡当別町の小高い丘の上の
一角で、北欧型建築の家が立ち並ぶ住宅地のこと。
ストックホルムに環境が似ていることから1980年代半ば頃
から開発が始まり、現在はスウェーデンのレクサンドとも
姉妹都市提携を結ぶなど現地との交流を深め、イベントや
工芸・アートなど北海道におけるスウェーデン文化紹介の
中心となっております。

夏至祭はスウェーデンでは夏の伝統行事で、スウェーデン語では
「ミドソンマル」といい、「真夏」を意味します。
当別版の夏至祭は今回で33回となり、マイストングの立上げや
フォークダンス、スタンプラリーやグリーンコンサートに加え、
当別産の農産物や「北欧プレート」などのオリジナルメニューを
堪能することができます。

アクセスは、JR札沼線石狩太美駅下車、
無料送迎バスがほぼ15分間隔で運行しております。

This time, introduce the summer solstice festival that has been held annually in Sweden Hills of Tobetsu town.

Sweden Hills is a residential area on the top of hill of Ishikari-gun Tobetsu town.

Development was started since the mid-1980s for the reason that the environment is similar to Stockholm.

This town was became a sister citie to Leksand in Sweden, and become the center of the Swedish cultural introduction in Hokkaido.

Access:
Get off at JR Sasshō Line Ishikari-Futomi Station.
Free shuttle bus service runs at approximately 15 minute intervals.
